Wanda Wims, M.A., CCC-SLP, is a dedicated professional with over 20 years of experience in clinical and educational settings. Born in California but raised in Indiana, she graduated from Ball State University with a Bachelor of Science in Speech Pathology and Audiology, as well as a dual Master of Arts in Speech Pathology and Applied Gerontology. Wanda holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) in Speech and Language Pathology and has worked with clients through the lifespan having a wide variety of speech and language impairments. Wanda has worked as an independent contractor, an early interventionist for the birth – three-year-old population, as well as in the school, hospital, and private practice settings in Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, and North Carolina. Wanda’s contribution to Speech Tactics, LLC includes her passion for coaching parents and caregivers to be the most important source of support in helping their loved one achieve their communication goals. She is grateful to work in a profession that serves people of all ages with diverse needs. Wanda believes that successful professional and personal relationships start with a foundation of trust and understanding. She uses this belief to establish a positive rapport with every client and their family, as well as her colleagues. Wanda is thrilled to not just supervise but mentor a team of amazing clinicians at Speech Tactics to support and encourage their professional growth and development. Wanda also brings expertise in diagnosing and treating pediatric clients with various developmental delays and communication disorders. When she is not wearing her “SLP hat,” Wanda treasures time with family and friends. Wanda and her family moved to the Charlotte area three years ago, so they continue to enjoy exploring and discovering new things to do and great restaurants to try!
